Stuff and things, mostly very weird.
- Mermaid (original): at the Summer Camp we let the students have free painting days every now and then. One of the little girls wanted me to paint a mermaid. She said I did it wrong.
- Sphynx (original): the night before I drew this I'd watched two PBS specials on lions.
- Mandragora (original): third in my series of weird topless half-women.
- Dress & Coat (clothing design): the coat is a girl's version of Lloyd's (Tales of Symphonia).
- Tops & a Belt (clothing design): the design on the left is based heavily on a garment one of the waitresses at my favorite Thai restaurant was wearing. I've never seen clothes like that in an American store, you have to go to Oriental markets in ethnic subregions to find them.
- Goth Loli + Shrug (clothing design): had I the body and sewing skills to pull this off, I totally would.
- Wonderland Still Life (originalish?): the front of my Spanish notebook was completely bare. I had to remedy that.
- Outfit for Kadaj (Simulacrum): costume redesign for Kadaj, as requested by Shannon.
- Freedom Fighter Heads (FFXI): doodled in my Spanish notebook. I was practicing individualizing each of our characters in a more comic drawing style.
- Bat Ky (FFXI): duh-nuh-nuh-nuh nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh duh-nuh-nuh-nuh nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh BAT KYYYYYYYYY!!!

HAY GUYS
Time to sit through another one of my enviro-rants. Anyway, just wanted to get the word out on International Earth Hour. Bascially, at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, people all over the world will turn off their lights and appliances for one hour. The intent is to send a message to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Committee in Copenhagen about what we want for the future. Aside from, you know, giant unicorn mechs and self-growing soft-serve ice cream.

No, I didn't just spoil something for you, that's the name of the book that you must (and I mean MUST) read. Too bad it's out of print until some time this fall... OHWAITLOL. (Thank you x a babillion for finding that link, Misti!)
Since you'll be wondering what it is before you go downloading and reading it, I'll try to explain it briefly. Amazon offers this of the plot: "It's a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can't."
It's a comedy/horror/mystery story with sprinklings of science fiction and the occult. It is utterly unique, hilarious, and terrifying all at once. You will burst out laughing. You will go to sleep with every light in your house on for the next month. You will stare for full minutes in wide-eyed shock at the pages before you. You will love this book. (Your name is now Harmonia)
Admittedly, it is not without issue. The story was originally a web serial, and then was published as a book independently, so there is a certain lack of professional editing that shows itself in the grammar every now and again. One one or two occasions the narrative falters slightly as the author is unable to liven up travel sequences.
However, on the whole, I cannot recommend this book highly enough. When you aren't busting a gut laughing your ass off, you'll be gasping and saying over and over "Oh holy shit...!", often doing both at once.
For those of you still not convinced, would it help if I told you the author was the editor for Cracked.com and wrote Inside the Monkeysphere? Thought so.
